Originally from Florida, Mr. Friedman completed law school at the University of Dayton Law School and has been admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio continuously since 1979. While serving as an Assistant City Prosecutor for the City of Dayton, Mr. Friedman gained invaluable experience practicing before judges, magistrates and juries.
Mr. Friedman served twice in the United States Army, including Vietnam and Europe. When stationed in Germany as a Trial Defense Counsel, Mr. Friedman tried hundreds of courts martial and provided the defense for both enlisted soldiers and commissioned officers before administrative boards. He also served as the Legal Assistance Officer for Darmstadt, West Germany. Mr. Friedman was honorably discharged from the United States Army.
Mr. Friedman opened his private law office in 1990 and has been continuously serving the community in the practice of law. For approximately 15 years, Mr. Friedman has limited his practice to complex divorce, military divorce, custody, shared parenting, child and spousal support, parenting time/visitation matters and grandparents rights. He also has represented many clients in contempt cases and civil domestic violence defense. Appearing mainly before courts located in Montgomery, Greene and Warren counties has allowed Mr. Friedman to enjoy a mutual respect with both the personnel of and the courts in these counties and conduct his practice in a professional, ethical and beneficial manner for his clients.
